ePortfolio Strategy Post

I am learning how solve family of facts problems, e.g. 63 ÷ 9 = 9 x __ = 63

Complete the following:

4 X 7 = 28
7 X 4 = 28
28 ÷ 7   = 4
28 ÷ 4   = 7

45 ÷ 9 = 5
45 ÷ 5 = 9
5 X 9 = 45
9 X 5 = 45

What are the family of facts for the following 3 numbers: 8, 3, 24
8 X 3 = 24
3 X 8 = 24
24 ÷ 3 = 8
24÷ 8   = 3

I LIKE THE WAY THAT I…. knew how to do this strategy super faster faster t
counting like I used to.

MY NEXT STEP IS TO…...to know this goal of my heart and use this strategy
more often.

Passion Project Term 1

EPortfolio Sample-Science Term 1

Jonty, you have a good overall understanding of what the pH scale is and how to read it effectively.  You were able to explain your observations clearly.
Your next learning step is to work on forming broad Inquiry questions so that you can inquire in more detail.
Well done Jonty.

Whistling birds make waipara camp more alive. Finally trees were silent, and the rope was ready to go. Breathing deeply doesn't help in this situation. Putting make legs in a flexible position to make me rise higher. (woosh) leaving the lowest branch. Eventually reaching the top.

The ground sits with the air as the rope contacted with the pine-stones. (Click) the harnest unbuckled. Trotting over to the distressed log to sit in peace, after that amazing experience. Looking into Tim's bag to find my watch, and see the time. 1:25 nearly time to go back, to school making no noise as I place my Watch back in Tim's bag and continue to watch the people from my group climb.

Student Reflection:
In my writing one of my goals is Use different sentence types - simple, compound and some
complex (L3)
I did show this goal here because I had at least two of every sentence type in my goal.

In my writing one of my goals is Use different sentence beginnings and lengths (L3)
I did not show this goal here because Most of my sentences lengths were the same and It
was hard to use different sentence beginnings because it was a show not tell.

My next step is to go to more workshops that have my goals in it and focus more on my
lengths and beginnings in my show don't tells.

Teacher Comment:
Jonty, I like the way you have used language to describe your setting.  I am able to create a picture in my mind as I read it.  Your next step is to focus on your surface features when you re-read / edit. - Mrs Hunter

I HAVEN'T DONE BEFORE.

MY NEXT GOAL IN MATHS IS TO LEARN HOW TO ADD NUMBERS
WITHIN MILLIONS THAT MAKE A MILLION MORE THAN A MILLION.
